Frequently Asked Questions
COMMON FAQ's
How much Breastmilk do I need to ship?
I need a minimum of 1ounce. If you can only get a small amount of Breastmilk or Colostrum (please let me know in the “Comment Section” of your order), ship that amount triple bagged and shipped in a padded envelope. I will try and work with what amount I get. The Breastmilk formula I use requires a minimum of 5 oz (roughly ½ cup) . I prefer to work with this amount in case something happens during the preservation process
What are Cremains/how much do I send?
Cremains are ashes from the Cremation process. For a stone using Cremains I will need 1 Tablespoon please triple bag and place in a padded envelope and shipped with a Cremation Ashes sticker from the Post Office. Cremains look different if they are from a pet versus your loved one. Depending on your preferences, you may want to make sure I have fine dust and not too many small pieces (especially common for pet Cremains). If you are uncomfortable sorting through the ashes, I ask that you send 2 Tablespoons. I can either store the excess for you in case you want another Keepsake made or at your request, I can mail the remaining ashes back to you. Please put your preferences in the “Comment Section” of your order.
How do I know my order won't get mixed up with another order?
As soon as I receive your Medium (whether Breastmilk, Cremains, hair, etc) in my studio, I immediately open it and start the process. I process each order ONE AT A TIME with clear labels throughout the process. The label, if applicable, will include the name of your loved one. I take great pride in handling all Mediums with compassion, care, and privacy. I will not share any of the process through my social media outlets without your written permission (details such as name, location, being able to see the Medium) I respect your wishes on privacy. There will be an area on the order form for you to give me permission for social media outlets and photographing your Keepsake. Feel free to add any details in the “Comment Section” on the order form.
What are Inclusions?
Inclusions are what you add to your Medium (ie Breastmilk stone, Cremains stone, encapsulated Placenta stone). For example, adding pet fur, horse hair, your loved ones hair, dried umbilical cord, dried flowers, pet whiskers, pieces of clothing, and feathers. These Inclusions are added on top of your stone and sealed with resin.
What does “14/20 Gold-plated” mean?
14/20 GF is the designation for 14 Karat Gold-Filled. The 14 refers to the karat of the layer of precious metal bonded to the base metal. The 1/20th indicates the ratio of karat gold to base metal by weight (5%). The base metal is CDA 220. A commercial brass alloy consisting of 90% copper and 10% zinc.
What does “Sterling Silver-plated” mean?
Silver-plated refers to jewelry created by covering a base metal, such as copper, nickel, or brass in a very thin layer of Sterling Silver.
What does the word “wholesale” mean in the description?
Naturally Nourish purchased this item through a wholesale account. The metal piece was not handmade by the artist.
How long does the process take?
Once I receive your Medium (and Inclusions) the process will take a minimum of 6-8weeks UPON RECEIVING YOUR SHIPMENT. If this process will take longer, I will contact you via email about the perceived timeline. If I am ill, have supplies on back-order, or busy with other orders can all delay the process. You are encouraged to contact me with ANY questions or concerns via email during Business hours.
Where are your metals sourced?
The Sterling Silver and Copper is sourced through my wholesale sources of Rio Grande and Halstead Jewelry. The silver is mostly from recycled sources and from the USA. Any 14/20 Gold-plated jewelry is also sourced from these wholesale accounts.
Ring sizing/How do I know my ring size?
You need to be 100% sure of your ring size. All jewelry I offer is custom and non-refundable. So if you are unsure of your ring size, you can google “ring sizing at home” and there are ways to measure your ring size through various methods. Or you can purchase ring sizing templates from most craft/hobby stores. Or you can go to a Jeweler to get sized. Due to the nature of the stone I created for you, it is resin-based and will be difficult to re-size due to heating up the metal. This will ruin the resin-based stone. If you feel your ring size may change I encourage you to choose a pendant, earrings, or bracelet instead.
How do I care for my resin-based Keepsake stone?
Resin-based Keepsakes should not be submerged in water or worn 24/7. The resin can turn yellow if placed in direct sun for long periods of time. When not wearing, store in a dry, cool place, and not in direct sun. Lotions, hand-sanitizer, oils, perfume, extreme heat/cold can affect the integrity of your Keepsake.
Summary of amount of I need for each Keepsake Inclusion:

- Placenta: 1 pill minimum, I prefer 2

What Is Resin Based Jewelry
FAQ: What is Resin Jewelry and How is it Made?
What is Resin Jewelry?
Resin jewelry is a type of handmade jewelry crafted using epoxy or UV resin, which hardens into a durable, glass-like material. Artisans often embed flowers, glitter, pigments, and other decorative elements inside the resin, creating unique, wearable pieces of art.
What Makes Resin Jewelry Special?
Each piece of resin jewelry is one-of-a-kind. The transparent or tinted resin allows for endless creative possibilities, from preserving real flowers to swirling vibrant colors in a way that mimics gemstones or ocean waves.
How is Resin Jewelry Made?
Making resin jewelry involves several key steps:
- Mixing the Resin – Epoxy or UV resin is carefully measured and mixed with a hardener or curing agent.
- Adding Colors & Embeds – Artists incorporate pigments, dried flowers, glitter, or other embellishments to achieve the desired design.
- Pouring into Molds – The liquid resin is poured into silicone molds shaped like pendants, rings, or earrings.
- Curing & Hardening – The resin must cure (harden) over several hours or under UV light, depending on the type used.
- Sanding & Finishing – Once fully hardened, the jewelry is sanded, polished, and sometimes coated with a protective layer for extra shine and durability.
- Assembling – The final piece is fitted with findings, such as earring hooks, chains, or rings, to create the finished jewelry.
Is Resin Jewelry Durable?
Yes! Properly cured resin jewelry is strong and lightweight. However, it should be kept away from excessive heat and prolonged direct sunlight to prevent yellowing or softening.
Can You Wear Resin Jewelry Every Day?
Absolutely! Resin jewelry is water-resistant and can handle everyday wear, though it’s best to remove it before swimming or using harsh chemicals.
