Artist
Your Jewelry Artist, Sara Weik
My favorite thing to do is walk in the woods with a small notebook, camera, binoculars, and my dog. I could be up on the North Shore or enjoying the desert sun in early April. Hiking is my go-to for unwinding and connecting with nature.
I enjoy long periods of solitude and silence in all four seasons.
I would best describe my lifestyle as enjoying Minnesota's elements: canoeing in the BWCA, birding, backcountry skiing as well as saunas, biking, and gardening.
I am a Mom to an adult son, Josey, who is the most wonderful person full of adventure, talent, and passion. Josey prefers to be on two wheels, biking his way through the woods OR on two skis plowing down a mountain. Being his Mom is my greatest achievement.
My partner in life is Matt. We met at college and our first date was the John Beargrease Sleddog race. Not only have we raised a son together, but built several houses, ran the Iditarod, been on TV, and started and sold three successful businesses. We are opposite in many ways, but our love for the outdoors and simple-living has tied us together for 30+ years.
I have three dogs and five cats. I am an excellent home cook. I quietly support those I love, but also can be a strong force if “Mama-bear” is provoked. I am an introvert. I have an old sewing machine that has made anoraks, beaver mitts, and countless other projects. I don't sew by patterns, I “create-as-I-go”, and that defines me as an artist: I'm practical and if someone wants something made, I figure out how to create it.
Naturally Nourishing
The Story Behind Naturally Nourish
People often ask me about the name Naturally Nourish. The inspiration comes from my love of nurturing stories and working with natural materials like breastmilk, cremains, flowers, and natural stones. My work is about nourishing stories, memories, and souls through meaningful Keepsakes.
From Hobby to Passion
For as long as I can remember, I dreamed of turning my jewelry-making hobby into something more. My journey into metalsmithing allowed me to expand my skills and merge my passions. But Naturally Nourish didn’t start there—it began with Placenta Encapsulation.
As a doula for nine years, I was deeply connected to the birth world and wanted to maintain that bond with mamas and families. Naturally Nourish by Sara evolved when I began experimenting with resin, creating Breastmilk and Placenta Keepsakes. This new medium brought my love of storytelling to life in a tangible and lasting way.
A Growing Mission
As word spread about my Keepsakes, affectionately created by “Farmer Sara,” more and more people reached out. Clients shared their stories of mourning beloved pets, celebrating cherished horses, and honoring journeys like breast cancer survivorship. Each Keepsake is deeply personal, designed to preserve the unique story you entrust to me.
I’m completely self-taught, guided by a deep commitment to crafting Keepsakes that honor life’s most precious moments. Every piece I create is a reflection of the love, memories, and experiences that make your story one-of-a-kind.
Let me help you tell your story.
